With India becoming home to world’s largest solar plant on a ‘single location’ and scientists working day and night to figure out ways to develop machines that runs on solar energy, a boy from Haryana (India) has designed a fully functional bike that runs on solar power.

Meet, Avneet Kumar, a resident of Rewari who now aims to make a solar powered car that would cost lesser than a Tata Nano car.
“My dream is to make a solar powered car that would cost lesser than Tata’s Nano car,” he said in a recent ANI report.

Features of the bike:
- As per reports, the bike will be very efficient and helpful in controlling air pollution
- Further, the solar-powered bike will be emission free
- The power generated by the panels attached help drive the bike forward.
Meanwhile, news came in where scientists had developed a solar-assisted bicycle which is expected to hit the markets soon.
